There is One who understands us – even when we don’t understand ourselves. Capable of knowing our motives and bringing truth to light at the proper time, we can trust our Father, Creator God, with all we long for and let go of other’s opinions – even our own.
“I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.” 1 Corinthians 4:3-5
Be encouraged by these words! If you’re going through a difficult time right now, don’t waste your pain. Consider how you can learn and grow during this season. Lift Your Eyes to God and ask Him to help you deal only with what is yours to do. Others may not understand your choices, but you can let your concern about their opinions go, living your life, lifting your eyes to the One true judge and walking closely with Him. After all, for the Christian, the verdict is already in – you have been declared innocent! There is no more condemnation!
“Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.” Romans 5:1-2
“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:1-2
The One who made you, understands you perfectly. Rest in the assurance that truth will always come to light and all misunderstandings will eventually be rectified. Grace and peace to you!
